    Multi-Agent Architecture with Support to Quality of Service and Quality of Control

    The final publication is available at Springer via http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-642-15381-5_17Multi Agent Systems (MAS) are one of the most suitable frameworks for the implementation of intelligent distributed control system. Agents provide suitable flexibility to give support to implied heterogeneity in cyber-physical systems. Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Control (QoC) parameters are commonly utilized to evaluate the efficiency of the communications and the control loop. Agents can use the quality measures to take a wide range of decisions, like suitable placement on the control node or to change the workload to save energy. This article describes the architecture of a multi agent system that provides support to QoS and QoC parameters to optimize de system. The architecture uses a Publish-Subscriber model, based on Data Distribution Service (DDS) to send the control messages. Due to the nature of the Publish-Subscribe model, the architecture is suitable to implement event-based control (EBC) systems.     QoS-Based Middleware Architecture for Distributed Control Systems

The main objective is providing a QoS level between the communications layer and the control layer. This architecture is based on the use of a hierarchical communications structure called logical namespace tree and a structured set of control processes interconnected, called logical sensors graph . This architecture is named Frame Sensor Adapter Control (FSA-Ctrl). In this architecture communication layer and control layer can manage the QoS policies. The communication layer is based on the Data Distribution Service (DDS), a standard proposed by Object Management Group (OMG). Control layer is derived from the Sensor Web Enablement (SWE) model proposed by Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC). Middleware components use messages queues to manage components QoS requirements.     Quality of service and quality of control based protocol to distribute agents

Additionally, a distributed architecture to implement such protocol is presented. The architecture allows the agents to move in accordance with their requirements. The protocol is based on division and fusion of the agents in their basic components called Logical Sensors. The movement of the agents is based on the quality of services (QoS) and quality of control (QoC) parameters that the system can provides. The protocol is used to know the impact that the movement of the agents may have on the system and obtain the equilibrium points where the impact is minimal.The architecture described in this article is a part of the coordinated project SIDIRELI: Distributed Systems with Limited Resources.     Dual-Composite Right-Left Handed Transmission Lines for the Design of Compact Diplexers

    In this study, the use of dual-composite right-left-handed (D-CRLH) transmission lines is proposed for the design of diplexers. The D-CRLH diplexers present advantages over conventional diplexers such as smaller size (especially in the ultra high frequency band). The design procedure and the design equations are presented in this paper. The non-linear phase response of a D-CRLH transmission line has been used to design diplexers at any arbitrary frequencies. Finally, two diplexers have been designed and manufactured: one for quite near frequencies and the other for further ones. The simulation results show good agreement with the measurements. A sensitivity analysis has been provided to show the robustness of this kind of circuits

    Plukenetia volubilis se conoce como Sacha Inchi (SI) es originaria de la amazona peruana y se ha cultivado y consumido desde la época pre e inca. Objetivo: se evaluó la genotoxicidad del aceite de Sacha inchi en ratones albinos Balb C y la toxicidad subcrónica en peces dorados ( Carassius auratus ). Material y métodos: se evaluó la genotoxicidad en Mus musculus Balb C ( n= 25) separados en cinco grupos seleccionados al azar de veinticinco cada uno. Los grupos fueron 10 ml / kg de solución salina normal (NS), 40 mg / kg del grupo ciclofosfamida (CP) y los otros tres grupos recibieron ciclofosfamida y aceite de sacha inchi en concentraciones de 10, 100 y 1000 mg / kg respectivamente. Las sustancias se administraron tres veces durante 24 horas. La genotoxicidad en ratones se evaluó determinando los niveles de micronúcleos en sangre y médula ósea. La toxicidad subcrónica se evaluó en peces dorados ( Carassius auratus ) ( n = 48) separados en cuatro grupos seleccionados al azar de seis cada uno: grupo salino normal (control) y tres grupos que recibieron dosis de 10, 100 y 1000 μg de aceite de sacha inchi por litro de agua respectivamente por 45 días

    Our previous acute toxicity studies with Karwinskia humboldtiana (Kh) in rats showed renal hemodynamic changes with a marked increase in the fractional excretion of sodium and morphological damage. To analyse the effects of Kh or 'tullidora' on energetic metabolism, a single dose of an oral preparation from the seed fruits was given to Wistar rats (1.25 g/kg). In tullidora-treated rats there was 8% mortality. ATP concentrations in renal tissue decreased significantly (control: 53.85�3.34, tullidora 38.28�5.31 ?mol/g fresh tissue, P<0.05). Total blood (54.8�0.96, tullidora: 40.2�1.55 ?mol/dL, P<0.01) and haemoglobin-ATP concentrations (3.69�0.12, tullidora: 2.56�0.11 ?mol/g, P<0.01) were also significantly diminished. Moreover, the total protein in renal cortex from tullidora-treated rats decreased as compared to control group (control: 71.43�2.88, tullidora: 55.20�4.06 mg/g fresh tissue, P<0.05). In contrast, Na+-K+-ATPase activity in tullidora-treated animals was not different from control rats. These findings might partially explain the acute effects and mortality observed in the Kh treated rats. � 2005 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved
